check out starting at around the 7:00 mark. Shining ray has a cool down of about 1 second in the video. As of right now, the skill has an in game cool down of 20s, and I expect that even with cool down branch, it'd probably go down to only 16. I don't know as I went with power up branch too.

also I think shining ray is not a transferrable skill when class is mastered. This is just a hunch based on the findings in the rogue forum.

 

checked the video clip. it's really less than 1 s cooldown. but i have no fantasy on the cooldown branch. the AVABEL might play a different version of game for demo purpose only. As they can't wait for 20s actually during the playtime.

Shocked for the non-transferrable news... I'm going to master this job, skill level, 10, 9, 8, 10 now.

 

shinshining ray comes real handy even the cool down is extremely LONG!!! it's a nice close range AOE skill...i tried it in PVP and the skill itself says"Get Out Of My Way!!!" Lol

i'd job mastered EX. confirmed that Shining Ray can't be transferred to other adv. class. only the 3 debuff skills can be transferred. it hurts me~

 

I feel you.....shining ray definitely would be my first choice.
But looking at the bright side, those 2 anti-mage buff ain't that bad. Tested with one of my guild mate, of course mine is only lvl7....but the effect is pretty impressive, especially one u can cast and walk around

 

The shining ray branch b (power up to deal more damage) seems to shorten cast time aswell.

 

hey anyone Try to choose Shining ray as Master Skill now? Shinobi 4th Skill Tree Spears and Samurai 4th Skill now be chose as Master Skill.

Hi I was wondering if anyone chose the shorter cooldown option for shining ray. I'd like to know what the cooldown time is with this option??

I guess I'm the only one that thinks this adv. class is really weak.

 

why you think it weak?

 

Casting time
Casting time on its damage to long to land with out some sort of cc.
Casting time on debuffs to long and the area seems to be really small for a skill with such a long cast time.
The debuffs are kinda weak in my opinion. Would rather have it reduced max hp then sp and str than int.
As ac we already counter mages with magic shield this just seems like overkill on countering mages.
These are some of the reasons. I don't think is class will be very useful.
Then again I play priest it doesn't give me a reason not to go linker other than the dispell skill.
Even with the dispell skill casting time to long.
This class seems to be more for tanky ac builds.
I can see it for that but even if I decided build tanky ac I think monk /linker would be alot better than anything mixed with this class atm.
I guess once buffs actually start to last for a long time. Which I'm hoping will come soon cause recasting buffs a pain then this
class doesn't seem to have much real use in combat if you are a squishy build.

 

those Skills don't just affect Magicians and their Advance Classes it also affect Paladins, Shinobis, Creators, Acolytes and also it the same as for Every 4th Advance Classes for each Class all the Casting/Enchanting are Long and so is the CoolDown as well also Lowering Int and Matk on a Character with the Fact you have a Buff that Increase Magic Defense? any Class that uses Matk Based Skills would be Nerf to the Extreme by Exorcist also Exorcist Skills fits what a Exorcist can and does.

 

Great points but the magic shield can still handle classes that use mixed damage. People think its weak but its really strong when maxed out. And lets just say if it was group pvp and they got enough skill to land the debuffs and be tanky enough not to get blown up. Won't it be a better choice just to heal your allies rather than go in for a risky debuff that can be easily dodged? Well that's the point there skills not strong in 1v1 and medicore in group partly because its weak and partly becuase debuffs and buffs last seconds. Once debuffs and buffs get buffed to last longer than this class is weak to me. It still is better to me in a 1v1 and in group to go the other classes. I do agree with some of your points and I believe that was the intended purpose of ex. class but atm its just better to stick other classes. This class has potenital to be a pick with future updates at least.

 

I am thinking maybe a Anti-magic and Guard mist from acolyte plus exorcist mind break will reduce matk by a lot. The rest depend on stats vit and def armor. Super defensive acolyte
