I can't really decide which is better! :/ Which has its benefits?
I have dual rod cuz i love the look and how you move and I think one hand rod cast alittle faster but two hand has more power
2h rod has more matk.
Dual rod has less matk but you can benefit from 4 slots(2slots per rod).
Just throwing this out there but you can also use a 1h and shield for added def. And still have 2 slots
since I only use my mage for farming, I only use 2H rods. Because its cheaper, as you only need 1 weapon, instead of having to buy 2x 1H weapons. Just imagine how much G you will spend to buy 2x 7* 1H Rods, or 1x 7* 1H Rod + 1x 7* Shield... ofcourse this is looking at it from a poor man's point of view
@Jerre you dont have to buy two one hands the same level with the same stars i bought a lvl70 3☆ maxed it and a lvl 50 1☆ i got as a drop and its still lvl one but i don't see a difference in just haveing one equiped and two same lvl amd same stars or just one on its own the attack still do the same amount of dmg
I have both Dual and 2H rods and i agree that the 2H is stronger (i use dual for the looks lol). As @marcocococo stated, the dual rod does give you 2 more shots that you can fire off during a casted skill.
There is a discussion about this in the dual wielding thread. If you use 2x 1H weapon with different ATK/MATK stats, the weaker weapon reduces the potency of the stronger weapon. Theoretically, you should get duplicates if you want to use dual wield. Although at the time the discussion started, 1H rods did not exist yet, but I believe they follow the same ethos.
Well i tested that and i didn't see a difference its like the stronger rod takes over but i had it on main hand same damage whether the rods are exactly the same or different level or just one
I agree however, won't the shield lower your overall DMG assuming that the shield lowers patk and matk, or has that issue been fixed by ASOBIMO.
I haven't used a shield except for oncefor and I really didn't look into stats so I honestly can't tell you if it does or not. But someone said DW lowers atk and that was a false statement
Right ok no problem, then again I could re-test to see the results myself but I think I might do after I've gotten my acolyte to lvl 75 lol.
im trying to figure this out if i want more magic attack i would go with the two handed right? and if i wanted to get more physical attack i would go with 2x one handed rods?
now with the two one handed rods should i get doubles of the same rod or does it even matter ????? also i really wanna go with the 2 handed but does that reduce my regular attack speed??
don't worry about attack speed. it is hardly noticeable. and you're a ranger right? Why wud you use rod?
Use 2h rod for max damage output because that's what you want. 1h rod is for using shield, tho it will lower your damage twice. (1st, 1h rod has a lower matk than 2h. 2nd, using shield will lower your damage)
no i just recently started as mage my main is a gun slinger but it turns out i really like mages
same. damn if ever someone will give me a male mage char, i'll use it as my main lol.
op on all areas (gvg/pvp/farm/tower)
btw, update your profile bro Jst a suggestion to avoid confusions
true lol thanks for the help
Well if your using Ls and one hand rod(s) your casting speed is much faster then with a two hand rod and it is very noticeable
●2 hand rod:
○ more damage.
○Only need to strthen or evolve 1 weapon
●1 hand rod:
○damage is almost the same if u add 2 humans to 2 1H rods comparing with 2H rod human type.
○faster cool down time of all skills.
does not reduce cast time, or maybe slightly reduce in IOS devices but in android, 2H rod cast time is equal to 1 hand rod cast time.
○Better run style (2H rod when u run look like a girl shakes her butt)
○2 more addition orb slots
○can exchange some damage to change style (rod+dag=bring cold slash of soul blader, rod+ shield= tanky as a warrior)
It's ur choice, not mine, those are just opinions
