    Actually, using shield will lower your damage twice if you came from using 2h weapon.
    Let's say atleast 6* 1h rod wthout shield = 5* 2h rod
    7* 1h rod + shield = 6* 1h rod without shield (shield lowers your actual damage)

    So in terms of damage:
    7* 1h rod with with shield = 5* 2h rod.
    It will greatly lower your attack.

    But if you're rich enough to get 8-9* 1h rod, why not?

    Oh okay I get it now. So I really need to upgrade my desire from having 7* 1h rod to at least 8* 1h rod.

    From my understanding about the concept;
    Using 8* 1h rod with shield=6* 2h rod damage.
    I think this damage would be more than enough for me as a shield user. While my heal may also increase a bit. Some people are saying that the heal difference of 2h rod from 1h rod is not that significant. Meaning you may really switch weapons if you have higher * of 1h rod. :) . I just hope that is correct.

    Do you guys have an idea of 8* 1h rod price in market or so? If not, it is okay. :) . You guys helped me so much in a way. Thanks again!

    Hi! I just tested using a level 70 3* maxed 1h rod at f18 pigman monster.

    Details:
    3* 1h rod without shield
    Holy Ray--> Damages 170-200 each hit
    Shine Laser--> Damages 460-495

    3* 1h rod with shield
    Holy Ray--> Damages 120-145 each hit
    Shine Laser--> Damages 420-450

    My concern is, shield really decreases damage as tested.
    But I think it is not to the point that it will have to go down that deep. I don't know, and I'm not sure. Maybe as the weapon * goes up, the more damage it would take from me. Or more matk, gives more decrease in damage. Haha I'm confused. XD :(

    yeah and upgrade your gears, atleast 7s breast with slot and put some orb, idk how much the 8s 1h rod at the stall but 6s 1h rod is cheaper like 10m for lvl90 compared to 6s 2h lvl90half price, if 8s is 300m prolly 8s 1h rod might be 150 up hehehe...

    try to test your weap in pvp so u will see your real dmg, i always doin it wen bought my new weap.

    another thing if u used 1h rod you can used one skill from monk a decreasing def i try that already and 50def will less to ur opponent.

    That is disappointing to hear, but I guess, you can't have your cake and eat it too; having damage with op defense. However, I think that if you want to become a tank healer, then shield is great, and it's an extra slot for elementals too.

    I agree to you. In my case, it is a combination of coffee and sugar. Having the bitter taste of coffee is like my armors which I find awful. Adding sugar is my chosen option which stands to be the shield. :)

    Maybe I should go test having 7* first and feel the pros and cons. That sense, I might be able see what is lacking and what I need to improve. ^^ . Thank you guys.

    Just example, I'm a shield user with blunt. My link heal is about around 2,700 uncharged, but keep in mind my total int is only 160 :)
    So if you go 1h rod which has higher MATK than blunt, a lv90 7s 1h rod shall achieve about the same results or higher if you have 180 or even 200 INT.

    Does Shield Affect Heals?
    Cause Last time I remember it shouldn't have.

    Lol ima be dumb here and say this even though i think it was looked into at one point.

    What if the sheild reducing (useing negtive amounts) increases healing becuase the heal numbers are negative damage integers.

    I wanna make you all think. :3

    Like dealing negative damage to you and ur allies lol.
    I heard from dos and jerre's wife that shield reduces heal amount too.
    Or maybe that reducion was from switching from 2h to 1h cos they didnt say that they came from using 1h(without shield).

    No shield here or one rod needed. I'm currently geared with a 3* level 60 class 2 handed Rod. My defenses maybe lowered without it but with me being pure INT I can pull off pretty decent heals and attacks. Under the right circumstances I can pull off a critical heal of 3027.
    2 handed rod is my preferred weapon of choice.
